Job Summary:
Ensure quality-driven follow-up activities with insurance carriers to resolve outstanding accounts, leading to maximum cash flow and minimal bad debts. Interact via phone and Internet-based portals of US insurance companies to check the status of claims and take appropriate actions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Address outstanding or assigned AR through phone calls and analysis.
- Utilize available tools to resolve accounts resulting in payment, corrected submission, appeals, patient transfer, or adjustments.
- Report trends in denials, claim submission errors, credentialing issues, and billing-related challenges to the reporting manager.
- Meet established SLAs (service level agreements) for production and quality.
- Document outcomes of calls or analysis clearly in the billing system.
- Stay updated with changes in processes and policies (P&Ps).
- Improve performance based on feedback from the reporting manager or quality audit team.
Qualifications:
- Education: 10+2; Graduation not mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum 1 - 2 years of provider side AR calling experience in PB/HB/DME.
Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication.
- Knowledge of billing terminologies and processes.
- Attention to detail and logical thinking.
